The Process

  • Tyres and wheels are marked up accordingly using our fully traceable job numerical system to identify their position on the vehicle
  • Tyres are removed from the alloys
  • Any centre caps are stored using the corresponding job number, stickers and weights are removed
  • Alloys are dipped into a paint stripping chemical bath
  • After stripping, the wheels are washed and put into the preparation system where all corrosion and damage is repaired and treated
  • Any severe damage is then sorted manually, ensuring the shape/design of the alloy is kept.
  • The wheels are then put through a comprehensive three-coat oven process, including both powder and water-based products to ensure manufacturer colour coding is achieved
  • If the wheels are diamond turned they are turned on our lathe prior to the lacquering process
  • Once the alloys are cooled and have passed our quality assurance check, the tyres are re-fitted, balanced and then put back onto the vehicle (if applicable).
